Introduction

The Freight Planning (Logistics Management) Manual serves two purposes. The first purpose of the manual is to publicize among relevant regional, provincial and federal transportation planning authorities the findings of the first carrier choice survey of the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor. The second is to demonstrate how the findings of this research can be used to enable these same planning authorities to better understand and incorporate freight traffic into transportation planning and therefore help them make informed decisions as they plan the future freight transport infrastructure in Canada.

We are presenting the Manual to the freight/transport planning community in six workshops across Canada in April-May 2008. For details, please click HERE.

Production of the Freight and Logistics Management Manual has been made possible through a financial contribution from Infrastructure Canada. The views expressed herein do not necessarily represent the views of the Government of Canada.
